| OK. We made the first application deadline for migrating the SNA traffic to IP. Telnet traffic is now pointing to our 198 sub-net. Congratulations! The next steps require a little more work. Also, it has come to our attention, that many firms have yet to give us IP addresses and test access for VPS IP printing. We need to test the network connections well before the April 8th deadline of migrating your print jobs from RJE to VPS. E-mail these addresses for your print queues/servers ASAP. Please review the schedule again. And, if you complete your conversion before the deadlines, thats even better! Monday, March 18th MQM IP - All MQM send and receive traffic (TREX records & GLOBEX confirms) must be converted to MQM IP: 198.212.155.249 (Prod) and 198.212.155.241 (Test).
- Port 1414 on your network must be open to listen for MQM IP traffic.
- All MQM SNA (LU 6.2) definitions will be removed.
Monday, March 25th FTP Data Files - All data files that the CME and clearing member firms sent and received via RJE will only be sent via FTP. Our FTP server addresses are: 198.212.155.45-46.
- Ports 20 &21 on your network must be open to listen for our FTP servers.
- We will stop routing data files via RJE.
For the GUS and APS batch files, you can request an extension to April 1st. It must be submitted in writing to kmccoy@cme.com. For GUS files, note the 3 options: 1) FTP Gets, 2) GUS-MQM, and 3) GUS RJE format (160 byte records) sent via MQM. For APS files, there will be 2 options: 1) FTP Gets and 2) APS RJE format (80 byte records) sent via MQM. Monday April 8th VPS Printing - You will access print files, using VPS software that will allow the CME to PUT files to an IP printer or AS/400 print queue, or print server.
- AS/400 users must ensure that their print queue is set to allow a record length of 133 characters.
- The Brand or Model of the printer must also be provided.
- Port 515 on your network must be open to listen for VPS files.
- If you print via Infopac, you will receive those reports via IP.
- Please be prepared to provide the CME with the print queue name(s) on your AS/400 or server and your IP address(s).
If you have questions about your current status, are requesting an extension or for additional information please contact Karen McCoy kmccoy@cme.com - (312) 930-4524 or Farris Oweimrin foweimri@cme.com -(312) 648-4780. |
